Privacy notice / 01

A short, plain account of the data this site does and does not handle.

esimz is an independent informational website. It does not operate accounts, checkout, a provider dashboard or a server-side contact database.

02 / Summary

We do not set first-party tracking cookies or store form entries.

This website sets no first-party tracking cookies. It does not run advertising pixels, account registration, server-side analytics or a database that stores messages submitted through the page. Your browser may store a local preference for light or dark display mode using localStorage. That preference remains in your browser and is used only to remember the display choice on this site.

A website visit nevertheless involves ordinary network requests. Your browser requests the site’s pages and, where used, requests third-party resources such as fonts, the Tailwind CDN script and photographs. Those third parties may receive technical information that browsers normally send with a request, such as an IP address, device or browser details, referring page information and the time of request. Their own policies govern their handling of that information.

Confidence: high — this describes the site’s published technical design.

03 / Cookies, local storage and analytics

No first-party tracking layer

esimz does not set first-party tracking cookies and does not use first-party analytics cookies. We do not build profiles of visitors, measure individual journeys, sell visitor data or use form contents for behavioural advertising. The only site-side browser storage intentionally used is the `esimz-theme` localStorage value created when you choose light or dark mode. It stores the preference label, not your name, email address or browsing history.

You can remove localStorage through your browser controls. Removing it will simply cause the display mode to fall back to your system preference or the site default on a later visit. Browser extensions, network providers or third-party resources can have their own technical effects that are outside this site’s control.

Confidence: high — no analytics or tracking service is configured by the site itself.

04 / Contact form handling

The contact form creates an email draft; it does not send data to us.

The form on our contact page runs in your browser. When you select the button, JavaScript creates a `mailto:` link containing the text you entered and asks your email application to open a draft addressed to [email protected]. The site does not receive, transmit to its server or store those fields before that point.

If you choose to send the resulting email, your email provider handles transmission and may process personal data under its own policy. An email we receive may include the sender address, name and message content you choose to provide. We use received correspondence to read, reply to or assess the editorial matter raised. Do not send account passwords, activation codes, payment information or other sensitive material; we cannot provide provider account support.

Confidence: high — the form’s client-side mailto behaviour is visible in the page code.

05 / Third-party services and requests

Resources loaded from outside esimz.digital

For visual presentation, the site loads the Tailwind CSS browser script from the Tailwind CDN. It requests Libre Franklin and Lora fonts from Google Fonts and related font files from Google’s font infrastructure. Article photography is loaded from images.unsplash.com. Clicking an email address or using the contact form calls your chosen mail application through a `mailto:` link.

These services are not an endorsement or a claim that they are essential to the research content. If you block them, the pages may display with fallback fonts, less styling or missing photographs. They may make their own requests or apply their own privacy practices. For current information, consult their respective privacy documentation: Tailwind Labs, Google and Unsplash. We do not control those external systems.

Important distinction

External resource requests are not the same as our own analytics program. esimz does not configure third-party advertising or visitor-tracking analytics on this site. A third party’s receipt of a normal resource request is governed by that third party’s policy.

Confidence: high — the named resources are visible in the source of these pages.

06 / Legal bases, rights and retention

European privacy rights, stated plainly

Where data is contained in a voluntary email, our practical basis for reading and responding is the correspondence you initiate and, where appropriate, our legitimate interest in maintaining accurate editorial information. We do not use that correspondence to create marketing audiences or sell personal data. We retain emails only for as long as reasonably needed to deal with the message, maintain an editorial record or meet an applicable legal obligation.

Depending on applicable law, including GDPR-style protections, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or data portability regarding personal data we hold in correspondence. You may also have a right to complain to a relevant supervisory authority. Rights can depend on the context and we may need to verify a request. To make a request, email [email protected] from the address concerned and describe what you need.

Confidence: moderate — applicable rights and obligations can vary with the requester’s location and circumstances.

07 / Changes and contact

How this notice may change

If the site’s tools or data practices materially change, we will update this page and its last-updated date. The date does not turn a general editorial page into a contract; it tells readers when this description was last reviewed. The about page explains the site’s wider independence and publishing standards, while the main research briefing explains the educational purpose of the content.

For a privacy question related to this website, contact [email protected]. For an account, activation or plan dispute, contact the provider that issued the relevant service; esimz has no access to those records.

Confidence: high — the distinction between editorial contact and provider support is central to this site.
